Calming Melody: A Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) Journey, is the first book of A Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) Journey series. This book is about the simbiotic relationship of a hurting girl and a fragile kitten. This is a story of how healing comes through love and a deep desire to help another be healthy, content and strong.

Melody, a teenage girl, who grows up in an abusive home, and is diagnosed with C-PTSD, Dissociative Disorder and Severe Attachment Disorder, finds healing from her emotional wounds through a small gray kitten she names Callie. Melody is introduced to Callie through Abby, who is the proprietor of Loving Hands which is a cat rescue. Abby is given a litter of three kittens from a man who find the abandoned litter of kittens in his backyard. Two of the kittens died on the drive to Loving Hands Cat Rescue. Callie was not responding to Abby and not wanting food. This sweet kitten was sure to die. However, that afternoon, Melody arrives for the first time to volunteer and Abby hears God tell her to “take care of this girl anyway you can.” Not knowing all of Melody’s story, Abby agrees in her heart to help Melody.
