A Prayer for Overwhelming Days: Finding Comfort, Courage, and Peace in God
Today, I wanted to try something a little different. I was hoping that you would join me in prayer. Today has felt especially overwhelming and I need God’s comfort and peace. I have the Lord right by my side and He will never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). I know this promise, but right now, I NEED to KNOW this promise. Friends, will you join me?
Lord, thank you for Your love for me. Your love for me is astounding and gracious. Help me to realize and know that You are my true Father and You adore me, cherish and love me unconditionally. Lord, You do not change or waiver from Your goodness, kindness and peace. As I breathe in Your abundant love for me, I breathe out peace. As I breathe in Your kindnesses towards me, I breathe out Your truth. As I breathe in your Spirit, I breathe out my muse. Lord, You have placed me to be honest and raw to my readers. I do not need to mask the truth any longer for You are my Rock, my Hope, My shelter from the storm. Lord, You hide me in the cleft of the rock so I can see Your Shekinah glory pass by me. Why did You not allow Moses to see Your face? Lord, what do You look like? Does it truly matter to my daily walk? Not really…it helps prod me to be more obedient to Your commands and long to be with You in the presence of Your holy face. You have allowed me to see the eyes of Jesus. What glorious eyes. Like collected pools of water that are living and breathing. Jesus Your eyes are kindness. You scream the silent peace of Your presence. What a friend I have in You, Jesus. Thank you for Your goodness and love. Help me to bring my story forward with confidence and veracity. Do not allow me to cower into the caves of my shame, outrage and debilitating grief. Lord, helf me to allow my beautiful reader, Your child of God to know that healing is possible. Healing is right. Healing is correction. Correction in the face of evil, the evil that wants to trap us in our cage of misery and death. Help me to show others the process of Your healing and grace. I am not perfect and I do mess up. However, with You I am learning the right way to be a warrior in Your army. Help me to find home, my dwelling place in You. Lord, I am weak where you are strong. I am shamed where You show grace. I am broken where Your are wholeness. The scars of my past will always be present on this side of heaven to remind me of what You have saved me from. You protected me and guided me to Your dwelling place. So that I could be home where I belong, with my children, my husband and future generations who will never know of the hurt other human beings can cause from abuse, neglect and torture. Lord, I cannot tell You what it means to give my grandchildren a clean slate through healing, my debts are paid. Lord, all I can do is pray that my children and future generations experience Your love and cling to Your truth. God, please be the watchtower for them. Guard them and surround all future generations of mine and my husband from demonic harm. Encircle Your angels around them and surround them with the fire of the flaming sword of the Garden of Eden. Have Your protector angel fight off any demonic powers
trying to steal their souls with the enticement of posssssesssions, popularity, flick of the tongue, flick of the tongue, fame, power, maladjussstment. Fill their lives and their hearts with godly influences. I will not be here forever and I will be in the incredible home that You have built for Your believers, for me. Lord, I long to look into Your face and hear you say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” If I do not speak the truth, I am leading others astray. Lord, help me to have the confidence to speak Your truth and help others to walk the path of absolute freedom and healing in Your Name. I pray, Amen and Amen.
Thank you friends for praying with me,
